I wouldnt use Imageburn for a start. From experience CloneCD is the only one you need to use.

You can get a free 21 day trial of it HERE

You for real? IMGBurn is great, it beats clonecd hands down mind you clonecd is all automated, I prefer IMGBurn,

@OP are you making sure to burn the .dvd file not the .iso? Easy mistake to make, from years of doing original xbox games I found it a hard adjustment as I used to do them on autopilot.
#7
IMGburn is the highest recommended burner for 360 games....
Nevr had a coaster yet...

imgburn doesn't let you burn the iso, it automatically changes it for you

you don't need to manually change the layer break if you have the .dvd fie

The first time you use img burn you need to put the layerbreak in.

I didn't have to...
#14
Ive never touched the layer break and ive backed up all my 360 titles, i use verbatims for media and Imageburn to burn them. Not had a coaster yet, although im still waiting on my 360 to come back from Germany :(

i'm using aone plus dvd+r dl, should i burn at 2.4x or 4x?

I was using 2.4x speed with the above error but read that changing to 4x may help solve this problem?

i've always burnt at 2.4, have you had any success at all or are they all failing? might be an idea to try different discs

no success yet only tried burning the once. Got a samsung drive and just read here that i should tick off finalising the disc in imgburn as this is a common problem with these drives.

http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=7776&st=40

Has anyone tried this?
#19
what burner do you have?

The aones are 8 speed.

What is the max speed of your burner?

I burn @ 4 speed on a Pioneer 216DBK, and have not had an issue in over 200 burns, no coasters, all done with imgburn burning the .DVD file. (layerbreak is stored in there)

Changing the booktype has to be set in imgburn for your drive.

have read that this can happen with Nvidia chipsets, and that using a VIA card will stop it. (just the finalising issue)

Some say that uninstalling the Nvidia IDE/SATA drivers and using the standard windows ones fixes the issue too
#21
any finalising disc issues, do not use in your 360, the game may still work but ABGX will report issues with the burn

its not the graphics card i was talking about, it is the IDE/SATA chipset that your motherboard has and the Nvidia Chipset drivers that interfere.

Do you install Nvidia chipset drivers or something like intel ones or something??

And you should burn at 2.4 as that is half the max of your drive in order not to be at its limit.

don't think i've ever update the nvidia drivers or any other drivers unless windows update does them.

Also using a laptop to burn if that matters

Aones are great, people that get coasters have a poor writer in my opinion, flame me all you like, but my experiences have all been good with my 216DBK (sata drive on VIA chipset)

Plus just try it at 4x, they are only 4.50 for 10 dude, jeez, if i ever did have a coaster it wouldnt exactly be an issue.
#27
got to agree i've had no problems at all with aones

finalising the disc is usually where it writes the borders and booktype info.

If you check imgburn and it says the current setting for +R DL media is DVD-ROM then it may be an incompatibility with your writer, saying it can change it but it doesnt like it, but with a laptop..... hmmm everyone i know has had issues of some sort burning 360 discs on all media types with laptop drives, some get a few good then a few bad, no real reasoning behind it...

Right, what laptop model do you have?

I will do some digging to find out what chipset you have in it

you should have an intel sata chipset and only your graphics card as an nvidia one.

I cant find much else about the laptop really. Intel chipsets were not one of the ones causing this finalise issue.

If you go to add/remove programs, then click on the nvidia drivers, it should bring up a list of all that are installed, dont uninstall any, from this point just cancel or close the window, what im interested in is if it states what "other" nvidia drivers it can remove (if any) appart from the graphics ones.

ok, make sure you check the burned disc with abgx after, if it has any detection or sense issues even if it passes stealth , and verifies it, I wouldnt use it..

EDIT

Oh, you cant, you dont have a KREON drive to read it.....hmmmmm lets hope you dont get banned eh.. trouble with turning the option off is that as soon as it comes accross that issue, it will finish and say done. Doesnt mean its gonna be a good rip.. you really need to get it working with the finalise m8..

normal dvd drives including the writer that wrote it cannot see an xbox game in windows, you need a KREON drive for that (bout 20 quid off ebay, but they allow you to rip copies of originals which you can rent, borrow etc) but again, you have a laptop so not really viable to have two external dvd drives kicking around.

what game was it by the way?

I know but my xbox didn't recognise a disc was inside the tray and normally when i put a backup my comp, the comp will at least recognise a disc is there and will show audio ts and video ts older. MY xbox and pc won't recognise a disc is in the tray.
