Hi. I have a Fujitsu laptop that the screen goes funny on. It goes off randomly but then the whole laptop won't start up. I know it is something to do with the screen but I'm dubious of taking it to local repair place in Bolton coz I know they'll tell me it needs a new screen (even if it doesn't, as they did that on me with my Sons laptop!!) I'm sure most places will do the same, and I just can't afford to be ripped off, can any of us these days... Any advice peeps??? Ta Very Much.

Ah! so were not the only one!

Same Laptop (L2727 Amilo) and i think this is a constant problem with the screen. Ours has been for repair 3 times since June, and is going back AGAIN next week. Luckly its under warranty.

Place in Rotherham has had it 3 times, and each time, changed 3 different parts, so tbh, I don't think they know whats up with it!! (First was screen itself, then the motherboard, then recently the "inverter" whatever that is!) Repair seems to last 6-8 weeks at most!

I'll update when it comes back again, but tell them you have a friend with the same problem! Whatever you do BACKUP all your documents incase they lose 'em
