I'll try to cut this short....

My sister was due to get Sky+ a couple of weeks ago, and was given a date etc of when they were coming.....day arrived and no-one turns up and no call. She calls Sky up and after 45 minutes on being on hold, she is told that the engineer wont be coming as he has 'family problems'. Annoyed that she hadnt been told, she aired her complaint, then they arranged it for last Sunday.

Sunday came, and he was over 4 hours late (with no warning of this), and he inspects job. He has to intall Sky+ up and downstairs, and he then tells my sister its a 'two man job'. My sisters fella then offers to help him, of which he turns down (understandably insurance and all that) but then he refuses point blank to do the one man job of installing downstairs as wont get paid for doing half a job. Great customer service! So he leaves....

Sister calls Sky back up again, and after an hour on hold and various transfers, they dont really offer anything other than to pay for their phone calls. Understanably miffed my sister cancels the £49 Sky+ upgrade and tells them where to go.

Crap thing is that in our area, Sky have no competition whatsoever, so you either have Sky or you get used to the basic channels.

She rang them back up today, after being on hold for another hour and all she was told was that the offer has now expired, and if she wanted Sky+ then it would be £99!

Has anyone got any advice, or contacts where we can get hold of someone with a bit of power and get something remotely decent off Sky?

The only way you can get anything out of Sky is if you have been a customer for 2 years+. Cancelling then reapplying was the worst thing she could have done.

Sky customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. They took £160 off me and I'm still battling 3 weeks later. Police are involved.

Sky say its 'not their problem'. Had to go to the very top in the end, the crem de la crem. Managing Director of Sky and news of the world etc. It's still not got sorted properly.

All I will say is good chuffing luck! You will most certainly need it!

NTL did a similar thing to me except it was for £657! The jokers at customer service said they could only credit my account and wouldn’t refund me :pirate: haha yeah right :-D I phoned the bank and they sorted it for me that day :santa:
