HELP OR BEWARE? Mobiles.co.uk

I placed an order with this company last Sunday reassured by their statement 'You're in safe hands...part of the Carphone Warehouse Group' since when apart from an acknowledgement I have received nothing....no phone, no contract has been set up.

When I ring their direct tel numbers there is no answer. Have tried to pursue via Carphone Warehouse who deny all knowledge!

I now have a very upset son whose birthday it is today with no present!!

Has anyone any experience/information/suggestions please

The direct lines take ages to answer, but they do answer.

OK thanks ..................the sales one is given as 01923803333 and this just rings and then is cut off whereas the 01923804444 one gives options but then just goes to music!

I had an 18 month cashback contract through them last year and had no problems what so ever. Maybe emailing them could be an option?
#4
Have you had any email conformation of the order ?
#5
Yes .....but so called on-line tracking just shows 'processing' when it was meant to have been delivered yesterday morning..

Did receive an e-mail on Mon which says:
"Thank you for your recent order.
We can confirm that your order has been accepted by your chosen network and has now been passed to our Quality Team for further checks."

Have also checked with O2 as the network supplier and they have no record!!!!

perhaps the phone is out of stock? you failed O2's credit check? Lost in the post? Agree the customer service is a little shoddy, but you dont just hang up because the phone goes to music - its called being on hold

Phone was in stock, delivery was promised by 1300 yesterday. credit check was passed (see above) phone isn't shown as dispatched, sales dont answer but ring off(see above) and music on hold goes on......and on..........and on.........and on.

You might feel this is acceptable but as a way to deal with customers and (a childs expectations by the way) I think it is deplorable

I was looking at getting a phone with this company as the tariff looked very good but after phoning for 3 days at various times and no answer i am keeping well away hopefully someone from their company will see this and realise how much business they have lost would have been about £500 for a 24 month contract i can name the company if that helps

Its part of CPW, they do their own credit checking so O2 won't know anything until CPW finish the check and start the contract. Sounds like its stuck on the credit check. . . Have you moved in the last 2 to 3 months, that can create all kinds of issues...

Oh the irony, they sell hardly anything else but phones, yet they cannot use them to speak with customers.

Sorry that doesn't help.

If it is part of CPW, there is a good chance that your credit card has been blocked by the provider, they seem to be seen by many card providers as unreliable security wise.

Call the number with options - listen to all the options. go for the 'Quality Team' or summut like that. think its option 5. they do answer :)

Mobiles.co.uk gurantees next day delivery if order placed before 5pm but its not true. I mailed them to confirm this and the reply was the order must be placed before 3pm. I placed my order at 1pm and still didnt get it the next day.
Cant trust anyone.
Affordablemobiles.co.uk is worst. I had to cancell my order with them as they did not even confirm the order till the next day.

I have just spent an hour on hold to this Company. I placed an order this morning at 10.30. (Their website states that orders placed before lunchtime Saturday will be delivered MONDAY) I then get an email saying the phone I wanted was out of stock. When I finally get through to the sales moron, he advises me they do actually have over 800 Blackberry Torches in stock !! To which my reply was well it still wont be here Monday will it ? his reply was "but Madam, it is Saturday, you would never have got the phone on Monday " !! I told him the website clearly states that I would have and therefore perhaps they were guilty of false advertising...at which point he stopped trying to get me to reconsider cancelling my order ! Dont use. Incompetent at best : )

I sadly bought a phone from this bunch as they seemed to be getting cheap tarrifs and as they were advertising a free IPhone4s I thought to hell with it i'll go with them. First thing seems O2 wouldnt take me so after speaking to some numpty I was offered the same phone for free but monthly chrage would be £21.60 ish and at not point was there any indication that VAT was not included so one would presume the £21.60 incuded the vat. On getting my first bill from good old Orange hey presto the price has gone up to £26.45.
I've tried sending them emails asking them to clarify there is a difference between what they indicate and what Orange charge but as yet I j=havent recieved any reply .Their online section chat area is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.
Would I recomend them NO !!!!!! stay clear its part of CARPHONE WAREHOUSE so say no more they'er a load of rubbish to

SO STAY AWAY AND DONT BUY FROM THEM>
