Did you pay via Paypal gift if so your fine!!
#6
& let us know the seller so we can avoid until it's sorted :D

you paid first to someone with zero feedback?? i do hope you got his details otherwise that's just asking for trouble
#9

Funny as ASB clearly replied on the thread. The seller also updated the thread on the 23rd saying he sent you a pm, and nothing from you since, so why would anyone not think it was resolved?
#11
If it is the maglite thread, I don`t see any definite agreement to buy on there. Looks like you either sent payment without the OP agreeing to sell, or you agreed details in PM.
#12
either way its £7
#13
Sorry I hadn't noticed that it ASB had tried to help! He sent me a message on the 20 apologising and that that he would sort it out asap..

Can a mod send an e-mail to his registered address again?

As for the comment either way it's £7. It doesn;t matter if it's a penny i've still paid for something thta he hasn;t sent. if he does that to 50 people £7 becomes £350! However during the PM's he offered me another one so i've actually paid £14.
#14
Have you rung the seller yet?
#15
The reason i sent payment to a 0 feedback person is because I was going to pick them up as we both live in the same area. I suppose it felt safer becuase of the initial pickup agreement

Anyway we could all jumop on the silly steve wagon but that's not going to help anyone so please only reply if you have something important / relevant to say that doesn't involve telling me i'm stupid because i really don't need it!

pop round to this address if he lives close by then?
#17
P.S the only details I have is his name and account details (BT payment)

I know that's my fault for trusting somebody and it won't happen again!

Asking if youve rang him is good advice... if you didnt follow rules on this site then its your own fault?

Love the way that people like rubbing it in...

While he may have made the fatal error of not reading the rules, so is consequently a victim of his own mistake.. I still can’t help but feel you’re a bunch of (insert mildly offensive jibe) for kicking somebody while they’re down..

alarm bells should have started ringing in that thread when the seller refused collection
#23
lol thanks spritey

He had 2 so i bought the other one aswell (hence £14)

Hoowver i presume that on the 20th ASB e-mailed him to his address that his HUKD is registered with. also on the 20th Squares (Lewis) sent a message apologising for the delay..

I'll PM ASB.

Yeah well hopefully somebody will read this and learn from my mistake..

i've bought a few things and i've given a few things away for free to people. I did chack his membership and he has been a member and has been quite active for a year so i gave him the benefit of the doubt

I’ve been done over for £10 on here before.. I should of known better.. But for such a small amount, i let my guard down.. I’m sure it happens to most.. It’s certainly not a mistake i’ll make a again.. You live, you learn.

What is most disappointing is that people like boothy feel chastising you for it is appropriate..

Women falls over, smashs her head against the concrete floor.. Blood everywhere.. boothy wonders up... “Should of tied your shoelaces, stupid ****”

If no joy go to the police with his bank details and a print out of the thread, they'll be able to get his address details and pay him a visit. They must investigate the reported crime, if they fob you off ask to speak to their sergeant, inspector and so on.

Using the “thats life” line as an excuse for you asking like a twit, nice.

I sometimes wonder where people like you come from, perhaps a gigantic baby producing chav back stage at Jeremy Kyle. Each one more stupid than the last, slowly diluting the population into drivelling idiots who’s only redeeming quality is an ability to open beer cans with their forehead.

Perhaps if you had the ability to keep your mouth shut in a similar way, you wouldn’t be greeted with such a frosty response.

Lets try not to take the mick out of somebody else’s misfortune..

Where has the mick been taken?

Every post made has offered constructive advice and/or guidance for future transactions here on HUKD

Whereas your contribution has merely been to disrupt the thread with personal attacks and inane ramblings

Perhaps you should heed your own advice regarding your mouth and keeping it shut?

Off to work now

Good Afternoon

People People People,

Let's play nice! I knew i would get some stick which is why I begged people not to. I was expecting it to be worse! as longs as other people read this and remember it when / if they decide to buy something! However it would be possible good for the site to have a contact number and address requirement if a users wishes to use the for sale / trade feature!

It would give everybody more security and a fall back for when the goons make mistake. yes i'ma goon!

Great idea in principle mate

Doesn’t stop fraudulent traders lieing about those details – unless hotukdeals verified them,.. Which would take far too long. Then they’d also be responsible for keeping all our personal details safe, which again is a bit of a nightmare.

If you were going to collect the item, why did you not pay cash on collection? I’m not trying to berate you, just a genuine question as to why you would pay in advance if you were going to collect.

It seems a rather small sum of money to scam someone for; maybe something happened to the seller?

or like most petty thieves they start small, before getting the confidence to go for the large sums.

What lumoruk said.

Suppose they count on the fact that if you lose £10-£20 - it's unlikely your pursue it.. Since it'll cost you more than that to take a case through small claims. Police won't take it seriously either.. Is a shame really, suppose they do have more important things to deal wit hthough aswell.

does anyone else see the irony in this post that ovengloves got his fingers burned

apologies OP, couldn't resist
for info, lots of people have lost out in FS/FT (I know I have)

I was going to pay when I picked it up. I still have faith in the blighter so I suppose time will tell.

I have a few contact details off the net. bank account branch and a few numbers I could call from the phone book. See if another mail to his HUKD address works first.
