calamine lotion

+1 calamine lotion definitely. Mind you it still itches like mad no matter what but at least you get some relief for a bit.

vinylandtrinkets
when my friends little boy had it she gave him and antihistamine and that eased it alot.

Both my boys have had it recently and, as above, childrens piriton helped a lot

my 4 yr old had it really bad, piriton can be good, boots do 3 cooling creams or doctor can prescribe calamine with aqeous cream spelt that wrong! Plenty of time in the bath and keep him cool. hope he's feeling better soon .

my son has just got over them eurax cream is a must calomine lotion didnt really work for him but gues all skins different antihistimene tablets (boots own brand) suitable for 2 plus only and 1/4 needed a day (ooo and they now sell this fab pill cutter dont know bout you but trying to cut a tablet with a knife is a joke) and bath him in warmish water no soap etc just lie him down and pour water over him, i told my son he could circle rub them when he felt a bit itchy and this saved him taking the scabs off although its hot put cotton p.jams on him saves him getting to the stops direct. good luck you may have 1 or 2nights of pure nightmare (i did) but after that they do get better, keep an eye that they dont go septic if they do germoline is ok. all the best x

blimey considering only a few weeks ago i was posting a help request on here about chicken pox i feel an expert now lol

It must be horrible for him but at the same time it's best to get it out of the way whilst he's young and it's good that it's not too hot outside, not that it makes it any easier for the little chap right now.

My daughter has it at the moment too. I've got the calamine gel/cream as she didn't like the lotion. Also got the piriton liquid to help with itching and put cotton gloves on her at bedtime to help with scratching. Hope he feels better soon ~ its not a very nice thing to have

try oats in a tepid bath. Its what we used when Ankle muncher had really bad CP. He practically lived in that bath for about a week. Tried to give him as much nappy off tome as poss to just so the spots didn't rub. He still mandaged to get tow scars right on his nappy line
