I'm looking to get a couple of new tattoos and was looking for some websites so I could double check that I don't get the wrong thing put on me.

I was looking for a site that would give you a barcode so that it scans it'd say something.

I'm also looking for a site to check chinese symbols

Cheers

try: http://www.terryburton.co.uk/barcodewriter/generator/

but i don't think you'll get a bar code which you'll be able to scan at Tescos and get their til to show your name. The numbers under a bar code are a reference number, when the item is scanned the til checks that item number against its product database and finds the appropriate product name and price.

Each barcode is a unique reference and thet reference would have to have been entered on a computers system for it to track

Its funny when were out, great ice breaker, we're still trying to convince him to do himself some holsters.

That label is terrible!

I have my daughters name down my arm in kanji, if i'm going to permanently mark myself I want it to have some meaning.

he's actually quite gifted, but its a whole new ball game when you're trying to tattoo your other hand because you cant stretch the skin, aparently its the most painfull thing he's tattoed, even more than when he inked himself with the McDonalds logo on the top of his foot.

I've got a small one on the top of my right arm which kind of looks like a tribal sun, designed it myself to mark my 21st birthday. Now I'm approaching 30 I'd like another and I'd like to work in something to symbolise my son but its proving very hard to find something I really like. The rule I'm going by is, if I've not changed my mind and still want the design 6 months after first seeing it, I'll get it done. If I don't I wont!

Sweet Jeysus, was he stoned while doing it? I suggest that you buy him an A3 artpad, and a couple of HB pencils. :-D

nah, something a bit more subtle than that and not dates of birth or names in other languages (no offence to anyone that has anything like that, just not my style). I was thinking about getting a small star every year around his birthday, slowly building up a pattern down my arm, but stars are a bit cliché these days aren't they?

Oh dear. I truely feel sorry for this lass.

1. I would shoot the tattooist as it looks home done - wether or not it is 'fresh'
2. It isnt the most appealing of designs - or am I just biased.?
3. Basically I just hope that is what she was expecting .

Poor girl - I hope she is pleased with it - suppose that is all that counts :-(

I think your best bet is to find a trustworthy Chinese speaking (reading?) person and ask them, I'm not sure I'd trust a website when theres a few ways of interpreting the symbols depending on dialect and (I think) context.
