Morning All,

I have McAfee free with Sky atm and, although the computer is
saying it's protected etc, when I click on the "security centre" it's not
loading up. I have to close it down with task manager ( it's just a box
with McAfee on the top nothing to click on ) I have deleted the entire
thing and downloaded again with no luck. I contacted sky but the redirected
me to McAfee ( expensive phone call!! ). Just wondered if anyone had the
same problem? and could help?
Thanks in advance............Simon012

Just to add it's the product registration that seems to be causing the problem.
When I close it down using task manager it comes up with a error to send to
Mcrosoft. I do not send the error but I look into the details of it and it names two
files which I cannot find on my computer...........

McAfee is pants, even it's free... uninstall it and go for either avast or AVG free versions.

Are these both completely free?
Which is best?
Why is McAfee pants?
Do these two protect your computer in the same way?
Sorry for all the questions but I have always had McAfee ( AOL then SKY )
Thank you............

AVG is just as good as McAfee but the plus side is that it's less resource hungry. :)

p.s - And completely free

As far as I know they are both free, I know AVG is as I use it, but others swear by avast so I always mention both. AVG isn't as memory hungry as McAfee, but then not much is... lol

They both protect you system the same way, better IMO. I hear lots of "help I have a virus" followed by "my McAfee didn't pick it up"
