I booked up New York (with the other 1000's on HUKD when the flights were cheap, thanks again!) but I'm looking at booking a Helicopter Ride and was wondering if anyone had been on one of the before and had a good experience, and where did you book?

I've been on http://www.newyorkhelicopter.com which got quite good reviews.

Any suggestions welcome! Thanks!

Have been on a couple and they are a really cool experience. Don't book online, best to wait until you get to NYC. Get a train down to the South St Seaport and they have a booking office their with people vying for your business so you can haggle. We ended up paying about £30 each for a 15 minute ride, well worth it.

I've done it twice, both were very good and well worth the money, I used a place not too far from Battery park (where you get the ferry to Statue of Liberty). There are several companys that use the same building so do ask around outside - dont go with the first one. It cost me about $120 - $150 each for a 15min ride i think, it flew south around Statue of liberty then up along over the river as far as Time Square and back again, great views and the pilot was very helpful with explaining where things were. Try to fly on a clearish day, and if you are really lucky, think about going at dust when the city lights are on, its pretty special.

Thanks, did you go down on the day that you planned to go or did you have to book it a few days in advance?

Did you book it over the internet on that site, or did you wait likechoc 1969?

Thanks!

Hi, I went in March and i took out a seven day new york pass before i went. This gave us discounts and fast track entry to loads of sites and restaurants but it also gives a discount on boat tours and the helicopter ride. They have different length passes but I would say it is well worth it!

Hi Marty, Both times i just walked in and waited, think the longest wait time was about 40 mins, it was pretty busy that time, the other time i didnt even get time to watch the safety video, waited about 8 mins!

Well worth it!
