Hello,

Just trying to charge my psp, the light goes orange for a few minutes and then it goes out. But then when I take the charger cord out it wont turn on? If I connect it to the charger then turn it on it will stay on when I disconnect the charger but then when I turn it off and turn it on again(without the charger)it won't work?

Any ideas anyone?? Already tried changing the battery pack and changing the charger, no difference.

take out the internal battery, stick in the ac power and on it. it shoulld work and after a while put your battery back in.

If you have changed the battery and charger, then the problem is obviously with the console itself.

If you have purchased it within the last 12 months, return it to them for a repair/replacement.
If it was purchased longer than this, contact Sony, they are good with these things and will replace it with a refurbished unit. 08705 998877

have u tried usb charging?

I tried usb charging but it didn't make a difference. then I tried what strike said and it is working again, without the need of the charger, although it only works charger free with one of the batteries. So maybe the other is a dud. Thanks for all your help guys.

So you have a slim & Lite? Where did you get the spare battery from?

Sounds like you got a dud battery there mate, if one battery is working with your setup, but the other isnt, that is more than likely.

Thanks Mike. Saint I have a slim n lite and a phat, but the problem was with the phat, bought my batteries for the phat from eBay, both from the same seller, but it appears now that one works and another one does not.
