Ok i have the LG 42LC46 and Mum has same model. Since purchase we have had dvd player etc on scart lead connection AV1 etc...
Now on our old TV CRT type if we turned on the dvd/video etc, it came on the screen automatically.
With the LG we have to press INPUT and then select AV1 etc as required and back after..
Mum cant recall the series of buttons needed (God love her) so if I can set it up so it will be automatic that would be great!
For al you guys who helped me over Dad's new TV he wanted-he didnt get one as he died on 20th August. He was a fab Dad and full of love and laughter. He was grateful for all the funny things people said about him when i was asing about a new TV for him.
Thanks in advance you guys-I know one of you will know.

So sorry to hear about your dad. Condolences to you and your family.

I have a 50" LG telly and I don't think there is a way that it'll switch over input automatically. It normally comes on on the last input selected. I got my dvd, and Sky box going through an amplifier and therefore use HDMI 1 on the tv. If I play a Blu Ray disc I need to press HDMI 2, it doesn't do it automatically.

Not to say it can't be done and someone on here may be able to correct me.

I get the same problem with my parents, they just don't understand how to correctly use these new fangled things called remote controls! :-D
