Some idiot left his car on our drive (not on the pavement) yes you heard correct on our drive. and council cant do anything because its private land, and my sister is in risk of a parking ticket becuase she had to park on a yellow line, they told me to call a company to remove the vehicle which deals with this, anyone know any companies out there. I live in east london tower hamlets., thanks

I'd accidentally put a brick through the window - tell them you were building a brick wall in the front garden.

Photo's or the OP is a liar :-)
#5
strip the car

If you can't get a tow service which is cheap enough; jack it up andput it on a few of bricks / axle stands then take a couple of wheels off or use a wheel clamp. If you don't have one ask someone with a caravan as they may have one. Then charge the owner for the parking.

ps if the wheels have locking nuts, still put it on axle stands then remove the other bolts leaving a warning notice on the drivers window warning them of such.

Pour curry powder into the vents under the front window. This will fill the heating/cooling intakes. Every time the driver turns on his aircon/heating the car will smell of curry.

block the car in and tell her or him if they doit again then block it again until they pay for it or tow it away and give him the bill i

When I was younger someone parked infront of our drive where my parents would squeeze their two cars on. It wad next door neighbours boyfriend. So we used our two cars to wedge him in until he came to receive an earful with his head hung low. Good luck getting it sorted!

We had the same thing happen a month or so ago. Police were not interested, until I asked if it was ok if I moved it! Then they were very interested indeed and threatened me with various offences. The magic word was that the car was already unsecured - it had already had a broken window. That made the difference and they were happy to contact the owner. So, tell the police it already is broken into and that covers you if you need to do it. Then let off the handbrake and push it so that it blocks the road.

Yeh police are useless. I left a note in the window when someone left their car parked in our driveway but was tempted to damage it.....

two wrongs don't make a right. Driver was just an imbecile. OP was thinking about criminal damage so yes I think that's worse.

I would have just parked in front and demanded a fee for exit - could well be legitimate......

It's you that looks thick...as a spell checker won't work out that the word "new" was used in the wrong context, instead of "knew"....Spell checkers are only useful for correcting words that are spelt in such a way that the word typed doesn't actually exist....I thought that was blatantly obvious to most people.

do you have any gates on your drive? if it happens again then close them and lock them and go out for the day/

This has happened a few times to us probably because the driveway is round the corner from the house. There is room for about 4 cars on the driveway and there is usually at least 1 or 2 spaces so people often park there.

Previously I have parked an old VW about a mm from their car to make it very awkward! See here

Thinking about it again a firm but polite dressing down would probably be the best thing to do because the dirtbag knows where u live and could bring trouble if you go too far.

This is why I always have a can of expanding foam handy in the house, there's no end to the fun you can have with that stuff.

just box them in when they come to you rdoor asking to move your car apologise tell them you have had a drink and they will have to wait until the next day to move it
