Hi looking for some help in transfering my dvd collection to a usb stick so i can play them on my laptop or portable dvd player while on a long distance flight 11 hours each way.

As an iso if file size if less than 4 gig (limitation of fat32) then mount them virtually in laptop with daemon tools or similar.

Format usb to ntfs to get round the file size limitation. (so you could store 5 gig 6 gig Iso etc)

to format your usb to ntfs you will need to use teh ploicy optimise for performance (not safe removal)

You wont fit many MPEG films on the usb pen.

So convert them to xvid/divx/mp4 etc

Try this free program to encode them to .avi http://fairusewizard.com/lang_en/

If you're using laptop though just store them on the internal hd unless it's one of those Stec 4,8,16 gig
