I sent a parcel recorded delivery. The person says they didnt get it. I checked the ref on royal mail and it says it was delivered. I sent the ref to the guy and he sends me a message today sayng hes checked and no parcel from me.

However i know for a fact the item was signed for by the person living at the address, as ive checked the sig on royal mail and the ppl living at the address it was sent to....

soooo what should i do?....surely i wont have to refund as there is so much proof....and i know for a fact.....

the member is on here and the sale was done on here...

Take it up with royal mail, postmen have been known to sign dockets themselves, do not refund until royal mail have investigated this, good luck

Also maybe contact a mod to notify them, if they are found out to be fraudulent then HUKD need to know

the name on the parcel was not the name of the signature as the parcel was going to a family members house but in their name....if you get me?

It is up to royal mail to investigate this, not you, that is what you pay for

Does this person know who has signed for it?
I would contact the Royal Mail Fraud Department, Mail tampering is a very serious offence.

If they are syaing they never signed for it then cntact the number in dinos post, not worth argueing with person over, leave it up to royal mail to sort out, just tell them they have denied ever signing for the parcel, fraud is a crime and will be dealt with by royal mail

name and shame!

Maybe the family member took a fancy to the parcel ! Ring Royal Mail and explain to the person concerned that you are doing this.Scan the signed proof if you can and send it to the person concerned.
It not YOUR problem now. You did your bit.

Might be worth mentioning to the person that you are going to take it up with royal mail, ask him to just check again that it hasnt been delivered before you take the matter further - I find this can make the other person realise that you are serious about the matter and they sometimes just 'happen' to find it...

Also contact a MOD with proof as if they are trying to scam they need to be added to Traders to Avoid.

Yea same happened to me once had a parcel sent to me

site said it was signed for my be had a signature (not mine) and the seller would not even listen to me calling me a liar etc

luckily @ the time i was in in hospital and had proof of this

and i contacted the post office etc and got it all sorted

to cut a long story short it turned out the post van delivery guy had been stealing and was caught and sacked

yeah i spose the mail man etc could have just known the name that usually signs etc and signed for it himself...

the guy has been decent on here so i dont want to point the finger so i apologise for the accusations..all i know is the parcel was sent and recieved, signed for by the name of the person who lives there....

i can provide the address, ref, recorded slip and proof of the sig to royal mail...and i will....

To be honest, I can't see how this could be a scam. Paypal WILL NOT refund him, you used a trackable service and it's showing up as delivered so no chance of a refund.
The only other option is the Royal Mail Fraud Dept who will contact the Police.

The thing that made me suspicious is the guy mentioned in a post he had the 'item' available for trade.

Dino do you know the procedures of this complaint? and what things will they need off me?

Hi Taz,
If he tries it on with Paypal saying he never received the item, Paypal will contact you asking for the tracking number. Once they have that they will see if it's been delivered and signed for. This has been signed for so they will reject his claim.
If it was me, I'd phone up this guys local sorting office and speak to the Manager. Explain what's going on and see what he says.
