Hi guys

I am getting a bus to Romford Station and I am wondering how long it will take me, on foot, to get to Brooklands Gardens. Postcode of RM11.

I appreciate that this is very random but hopefully someone from the area will be able to shed some light on my predicament!!

Rep will be allocated appropriately.

Distance: 2.03 miles, about 39 mins

Based on the shortest walking route according to multimap.

Edit: not sure exactly where is Romford Station so you better go to http://www.multimap.com and click on get directions and find out the information I tried getting for you. But I think it is right.

mapquest suggests is just over 2 miles

average walking speed 3mph

so would take about 40-45 mins at normal walking pace :)

Superb. Would I be right in thinking then that I could get the N15 nightbus from Paddington and the closest stop would be Romford Station?

Well, I am going to a concert in Earls Court on 10th and 11th and we have a house to stay at in Hornchurch. Initially I was worried by it being so far out of town and no nightbus connecting from somewhere central in London. Now I think I have found that the N15 goes from Paddington all the way through to Romford Market which is 2 miles from where we are staying and we could just get a taxi back to our house...saying that, I think we are just going to brave Hornchurch on the Friday night for some tea. Can you recommend anywhere decent that does food after 9pm?

Try Zizzi, or Caffe Uno - both nice (italian). If you prefer American style diners, there's Simply Blues or Jailhouse Rock (little bit 'cheesy' for my liking).

Thank you, rep added. The Jailhouse Rock restaurant looks amazing, being a big Elvis fan I may be a little biased!! Thank you...you have almost reduced me to tears
