Hi guys my battery needs replacing and there is no markings anymore on it. It is booked into the gargae to be mot'd and serviced, but they need to pick it up. I can just about jump it, but will go to halfords to get another one before hand. My only worry is that halfords is not always that clued up, so which one is the best for my car please?

Most likely an 063 type battery. what engine is in it? also, dont worry about people not knowing in halfords....there are catalogues on the battery stand. They are simple to follow.

its an 1800 carburetor engine:thumbsup: they have one at 59.99 3 year gty or one at 79.99 4 year guaranty?

Do you not have anything such as "Eurocarparts" in your area. A much better bet than Halfords in most cases.

double check the book on that number. if the second the price is for a calcium type, then its definitely one to look at, if the car is stored, not used everyday or only for short journeys then it will last longer, perform better than the std battery.

If you go to Halford web site http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_categoryId_165762_langId_-1 and type in your registration number, it will tell you what type of battery you need.

I did that this morning then went and ordered one from Eurocarparts :D
