I`m after an external drive but there are so many to choose from i don`t know which type to go for.
So many different brands to choose from,eg Seagate/Western Digital/Iomega.
I`d like a 1TB drive,any ideas anyone??

theres a 2tb on amazon for 70odd quid i think, my partner bought this in november and had no problems with it, think its a seagate one.

also decide whether you need a usb powered one or one that needs an external power supply(ie plugged in power supply) usb powered are generally more expensive but are much more portable.
depends what you are using for - personally ive a 1tb plugged in hooked up to a media played and a 500gb usb powered one for everyday use.

Thanks but 1TB would be enough for me.

Either would do to be honest.

Put 'portable+drive' in the search and see if anything takes your fancy in there.

Did that and like i said...loads of different brands coming up.

Not really bothered if its portable as i`ll just be using it at home as a back up for photos etc,so a mains powered model would be ok.

Would like a 1TB version though.
