WEP is an obsolete encryption standard and not recommended for use. People like breaking into WEP secured networks for sport and use the hijacked Internet connection to download questionable/illegal stuff.

Doesn't the PSP support WPA? If not try looking for firmware updates for the console.

If you do want to keep the new WEP key, you will need to go to your printer and look through it's on-screen menu for Settingts/Networking/Wireless and change the encryption type from WPA to WEP and enter the new key. You should be able to print as normal after that.

Which printer do you have?

I have a HP C4580 looked through the onscreen menu for settings but there is nothing there.

try connecting with usb first and then try wireless also the printer should have it's own ip and MAC address , check on the pc to see if it's there - I'm no expert so I say without it being used in evidence against me :)
