Reboot

No hes given it to his dad and hes saying to me "oh daniel youve f***ed it up

Its just something on the keypad hes pressed and it just coincidence that we were remote assisting wehn it happened

Like when your typing and it deletes itself because you have insert pressed

I'd still reboot first, if it is a keyboard press it will reset when it comes back up.

It definitely sounds like the number lock, you need to hold down FN when you press the number lock.

thought you meant wipe the comp

You mean restart the comp

You could always do a System restore to a time just before the Remote Assist, thats if he has it turned on.

Lol, yes reboot, as in reboot!

It's almost always the first step in any tech support. It clears any temp changes or glitches. That way if its still doing it when it restarts you know its a system change. Saves spending ages trying to fix something that isn't really broken.

You've been watching too much 'The IT Crowd' ......next step, 'Is it plugged in?'

You think you are being funny....however I was told this when my lorry wouldn't start the other day.

Apparently the immobilser has a sensor linked to the door, and it doesn't properly remobilise the engine until its completely left alone. So I was told to take the key out of the ignition, step out of the lorry and close the door, wait 15 seconds then get back in again.

.....And it worked!!! :w00t:

My thoughts exactly, sounds like the setting has been left on from the remote session.

Isnt a car/lorry just a big computer now anyway? My Megane CC has auto lights, wipers, etc- all I need to do is press 'start' and steer the ******.
