hi all i placed an order online with argos ordered 3 items for my daughters birthday one of them was a hello kitty cushion price of £19.99 instead they have sent me a dualit kettle priced at £68.49 now they have charged me for the cushion not the kettle but was thinking if i take it into my local argos and explain that i ordered the cushion would they swap the kettle for the cushion as i dont really want to have to send it back in the post.

Personally. I would take the kettle into argos say you have not got the receipt and ask for an exchange of same value :)

lol i don't think greyparrot wanted to say that on here as there are haters who would go on about how it would make argos end up having to close down or something like that :whistling: personally i would do the same as you - it was their mistake

I am sure that they would admire your honesty, and do that.

If not, they would need to arrange collection of it at their expense.

have you rang / emailed argos about this error and see what they will do about it? or just posted on here?

just posted on here i only recieved it late yesterday but i am going into town with my mum later so is going to be easier to take it back to a store than mess around explaining there mistake having to wait in for a courier to pick it up and then wait again for the cushion to be delivered.

You can take it back to the store but you need the delivery label that goes with it, they will give you a refund and then charge you for the right items. Personally I would keep thekettle for when you need one and just go buy the items you are missing in store.

but it costs you to make a phone call so why should she pay to phone them seeing as it's their mistake as it will end up costing her more  :whistling:

+1 id rather live with a clear conscience than a kettle worth 60 odd quid

Give them a call and say you are going to miss her birthday now, I did that when woolies did the same thing to me and they sent me the correct item and let me keep both ;) More hassle to collect it i reckon ;)
