yeah i just don't know how to find it on my mac :(

I'm new to mac you see.

You have to connect via USB first time no? To force a wireless connection

First make sure that the printer is shared in windows, note name of computer and printer share names.
On your mac go to the Apple top left of screen, click it and find System preferences in the drop down menu.
In SP find and open Print & fax, click the + to add printer where you'll should now have a list of comps/hosts on the network. Select correct win comp, this should give you attached printers on said comp, select printer and password if prompted. You will need to install printer driver on the mac too.
Macs are not that much different from win pc's. We run both side by side with all printers on the windoz comps.

can you see the window printers on the mac?
#7
disconnect your pc and throw it out the window, the mac should see it then ! lol

1. Find out the IP address of the printer
2. Then add the printer using the internet printing protocol (IPP) in Applications / System Preferences / Print & Fax

Hang on...
Is it a standalone wireless printer?
Or is it connected to the Windows PC & shared on the network?

Sometimes it will show up as the ip address in the top grey bar, scroll over the network bit where all the sourrounding networks display and right at the bottom there's a separating line, it tends to display other devices on your network

Or as others said the add printer option in system settings is easy once you have done it

Printing to a Windows (Samba) shared printer from a Mac

Give this a go perhaps?
