Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone can suggest a good antivirus for my laptop. McAfee has just expired on the laptop. I looked on amazon and there were at least 3 different ones i could buy. I'm guessing the more you pay the better the protection.
Can anyone suggest a better antivirus??

Most people will suggest different. NOD32/Kaspersky seem most popular. AntiVir or Avast Free also seem to get good reviews. (The latter are both free but also have paid versions).

Just before you install your new one make sure you un-install your old one. Otherwise their could be conflict. I believe that most make this clear these days but all may not.

Microsoft security essentials is - surprisingly - now the best free anti-virus and anti-spyware. Download from microsoft.com, no other

I'd suggest AVG (mentioned above)

or Avira Free edition

Combine it with some antispyware protection - Spybot will do you well (remember to update and immunize on a regular basis - it does not update automatically)
