Hi, when I was on aol yesterday it kept losing the connection. I got fed up and phoned aol for help, they checked my router and internet connection which is all fine as I can get on internet explorer. They suggested restoring aol which I tried but it didn't work.
I tried restoring my laptop to a few days ago but aol couldn't load. I uninstalled aol, this didn't help, then restored my laptop again which brought back aol, but when i signed on it got as far as checking password but couldn't go no further.
I'm stuck, my dad has suggested rebooting the whole laptop but this seems a bit extreme to me. Aol suggests that I have a corrupt file which isn't letting aol work.Any help with this would be very appreciated as I don't know what to to. By the way it's a dell laptop if this is any help, I tried phoning them but the offices are shut until monday. I have also tried downlaoding aol again but it gets so far and freezes, would loading it from the disk that I first had to set up the router work. Many thanks.
Forgot to add I tried downloading antivirus software from a tread on here and I'm not sure if this has conflicted with mcafee which is already on here.
