system restore!

in vista
start- control panel - system and maintenance - backup and restore center - restore to the date before you clean up things
#3
Opps ive prob emptied the bin too, that will teach me for trying to clean comp up, best left to those who know what doing!!!
#4
Tried the control panel...
Come across another error..
Unexpected error backup has not been set up on this computer.

this photobox you talked about, is it the online printing service? i.e. www.photobox.co.uk?
if so then the problem may be not with your system. either be in your browser or the photobox server
#6
Im just giving that as an example as its the only site i have come across the problem occuring, ive always used photobox and normally works fine until i stupidly decided to mess with my settings!!
Yes photobox.co.uk, its a site where you upload your pics and buy products-canvas's, mugs, mouse mats etc..

Just come across this and remembered this thread from yesterday, may be of some use?

It is free if you download and install it today. Not used this software myself but have downloaded many others from this website with no problems

Start from the beginning:

What operating system do you have? Windows 98/XP/Vista etc
What exactly is the problem ? Include all symptoms if possible
If you a clean up now what boxes are ticked where it syas what files it will clean/delete - as an aside don't do it again for now - just let us know what boxes are ticked. If this bit doesn't make sense please let us know how you tried to tidy up and exactly what you did.

Sounds to me like you may have deleted cookies etc which would have affected how you are seen by websites you frequent but more info required to try and long distance fault find.

And correct error messages would help as I cant believe you get this error message:-

Automation server cant crete object

Anyway, try this fix:-

1 . Open Internet explorer
2. Click on "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Security" tab then click button "Custom level"
3. scroll to '"Initialize and script ActiveX control not
marked as safe" and click on ENABLE
4. Click on OK then OK

then try photobox again

As suggested above, if it's IE that you're using (and assuming that there's nothing wrong with the site that you're going to), you could try a reinstall of the browser :

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

That should be the link for IE7. Alternatively :

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Is preferred

If you've still got issues after a reinstall of either of the above, then grab your OS CD and go for a repair.

Edit - Also try having a look in event viewer, applications - anything there ?

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
