i am trying to install a wireless netgear card to a 540s but it doesnt seem to be working. i am not getting any lights on the card when i switch on the pc. could it be teh slot that is knackered even though it is a new pc.

what slot PCI slot?

I think the light is a network activity light that will only flash when there is activity on the network (i.e. it is set up to connect to your wireless setup...and your computer is connected to it and data is being sent/recieved)

check it is slotted in firmly... do you need to install drivers for it no?
