I currently have the following equipment:
Evesham V32EMRO-ZE3 LCD TV
Thomson DHD4000 PVR
Sony DAV-S400 DVD Player
Telewest cable box (absolute min package)

I've just bought a Bush DVR 3004 so that I can archive stuff off my Thomson DHD4000 & also record Sky 1 from my Telewest box.

Problem I seem to have is with setting up & hope someone can give advice.

Current set up is:

Telewest box TV out to Scart 2
RF input to Thomson > Thomson to TV RF
Thomson TV out to Scart 1
Sony to Video In (Red/White/Yellow)

My initial attempt was to:
RF from Thomson to Bush DVD recorder & then to TV
Telewest video scart out to Scart in on Bush
Bush Scart out to TV scart 1 (Just to see if works as I think I will need a scart switch)

Can watch a DVD from Bush doing this. However after running set-up on bush it says picked up 6 channels but TV screen is just green fuzzy lines on Scart 1

Also if switch on Telewest I can hear sound perfectly but same green fuzzy lines, although if switch to Scart 2 - No problems.

Tried again running RF direct to Bush first, Then Thomson & then TV but still no TV picture from Bush.

I believe that because I only have 2 Scarts on TV & want to input 3 & because only have 1 video scart in on Bush & want to input 2 sources - I will need 2 scart switches?

Sorry for such a long post but hopefully someone can help :)

Flipping heck mate, I do this sort of thing for a living and you would be my worst nightmare. If I get someone with a PVR/DVD/DVD recorder and Sky I get pissed off with them. Then you get the ones who buy the tv with freeview and also get the DVD recorders with freeview and want it all rigging up so they can watch one and record another freeview channel.

But I have been going over your problem in my head and can't seem to get around it. Seems correct from what I can tell, always easier seeing it in the flesh though.

Are Telewest more or less the same input as Sky? I have never touched Telewest, we can't get it round here.

Sorry.

Do the bush recorders accpet an rf? I know some of the latest Panasonic equipment are phasing our RF in favour of scart and HDMI. Some do not recognise an rf input. If you can watch a dvd then your scart is working, defo an rf problem.

Just a thought. What channel are you trying to watch the Bush on your tv? Are you watching it on channel 6 or via the av button?

Lol beerman1. I've never used Sky so dont know if its the same as Telewest but basically telewest has a cable input, RF input, RF out & 2x Scarts out marked TV & Video

Yes the recorder does have an RF input & output.

Also been trying to watch Bush in AV or tried channel 0 - maybe that's where I'm going wrong.
