Help With Game Extended Warranty

Anyone help?

I got the Ltd Edition Resident Evil 5 console from Game back in March 09, and took Gamecare out as I thought with it being a limited edition, probs worth it. Anyways, basically its a 2 year guarantee which also covers accidental damage, and if its repairable, it gets repaired, if its not, it gets replaced or you get a voucher.

So, the wife spilt vimto on it while I was at work (on purpose I wonder?! lol) so rang up the insurance company, sent it off to TCR and got it back. Been fine for a couple of weeks (Barely played it) but what do I get now - 3 red lights AGAIN.

To me its obvious that they cant repair it, or, the quality of the repair is bad - so I would like a refund, on a gift card is fine, as I dont just want a bog standard elite back - I would like to put it towards the new FF13 Super Elite :)

Has anyone had any experience with this? Also, who should I ring to complain and say the repair was bad, and that I would just like a voucher towards a new console? Any help appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Yeh contact game again, they have the right to try and repair again, you can only demand voucher back after they have tried to get it sorted for you.
Shove a screwdriver against the circuit board for a bit, blow the thing up so its unrepairable ;)

Thought so, but they have tried a repair and it didnt work...evidently :P I've barely played the thing!

I'm gonna give them a ring in a mo, hopefully I get a nice person who can sort it for me :D

My friend broke his PS3 (Gamecare) three times and they eventually gave him £350 and a new one costs £250 :P

Sending them an email now as I can't find a number for faulty/returns. I'll let you know how I get on.

Did you get any luck? I'm having the same problem: E74 error, supposedly repaired now recurred after only being switched on three times. They're saying they will repair a 2nd time and replace if fails a 3rd time. Problem is the warranty is up at the end of the month and you only get 3 months repair warranty. Sod's law says it will break in 13 weeks. I attempted to explain that the repair obviously hadn't been carried out properly last time so why should it be any different but the bloke in the call centre just kept spewing the same thing off his script
