Help with Hotmail please- unable to open emails

My OH has a hotmail account which is playing up. He can sign in but when he clicks on 'inbox' nothing happens, other times he can get to his inbox a different way but still cannot open his emails.

I can get into my hotmail account and open emails.

I did a quick search on the subject, and suggestions include optimising browser settings (I have done), and virus checking (done), but to no avail.

Anyone else come across this issue? How did you solve it?

Many thanks in advance x

btw we are using mozilla firefox (fully up to date)

I had the same problem with hotmail yesterday ( I use Opera browser, but hotmail worked with IE). I think it was some ms updates the day before. Hotmail seems ok today, but PC running like a dog. :(:|
hope it works itself out.

I have been logging in and out, but now I cannot even access mine, which was working first thing this morning aarrgghh!!

It sort of works on IE, but is soooo slow, and keeps getting an error message on IE.

I've noticed a number of sites behaving very randomly with Firefox (formatting, non-response to links, etc) recently.
My 'My eBay' page for example is just messed up.

EDIT: Highlighted by double post, then inability to edit in Firefox so had to switch to Chrome oO

I can log in ok using IE9. There were lots of Windows updates on Wednesday. Have you carried out the updates. Maybe security issues with browser?

Oh, good, i thought i was the only one having probs :3, yesterday when i went to do my surverys, instead of opening a new page when i clicked on the link, it went over the top of my emails. last night i did the updates, and i went to check my emails today, and its saying something about a blackhole toolkit. i did a virus check, and it says all is ok. im wondering if someone has hacked into hotmail?.

I havent checked my emsil today but a google search shows a blog about the blackhole thing. Its a hacker thing thats become popular and it takes over popular websites. I remember i clicked on a email and it took me to the rbooks website and then the little pop up came up to say blackhole etc. Has the original poster now got the email working and did you have any virus warning like me?.
