well got it out today to do paths..karcher m550..making the right noises......water is coming out of the trigger-pouring out, as if the wand is blocked but when the karcher is switched off the water comes out of the wand so obv the pressure is making it worse.
Any ideas how or why? thanks!

and yes i am a girlie!

if you left the wand in teh garage over the winter then probably frozen and broken. you can get a new wand from argos. thats what i had to do

sounds like the rubber seals are gone in the wand and valves of the trigger, I replaced all of mine when it did the same and it has been fine since. You can get the seals from hardware shops and if need be pay the higher price by getting them direct from karcher.

I normally get my parts for any of my karcher products by calling them on 01295 752200.

Ditto post #1.

I found the same thing myself the other fortnight.. went to jetwash the patio and nothing. I left mine out in the shed over Winter and the water inside obv froze then expanded and left a huge crack in one of the main parts.. Would cost £35 odd to fix too, so will prob end up buying a new one..
Lesson learnt!

plumberman I carefully drilled out the rivets and then used small nut and bolts to put it back together.

When you phone Karcher the CS rep should be able to email you a copy of the parts catalogue for your machine and gun, they have done so for me on every product I have asked one for (steam cleaners to jet washers etc). The catalogue will give you an exploded view of the product and a key detailing what each part is along with its product code/s.

I have since found a small hardware store who stock the right sized rubber seals I need, for a few pence, should the time come again. Extreme cold weather or too hot water is a common reason for the rubber to perish
