We wanting to go Legoland around August time,I don't want any tickets and travel all in as I've got enough for 2 days entry into Legoland for all us with Clubcard.

I can get by train to London Victoria or Charing Cross.

I would prefer not to use the Underground if possible,as its chaos using it with kids amongst other reasons (I've walked all way from Charing Cross to London Zoo before as don't like using Tube ).

What I sort of figured out so far below.

Ok on the Legoland site it says the following,

Just half an hour from London Paddington to Windsor & Eton Central, via Slough First Great Western; or direct from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside South West Trains . There is a shuttle bus service to the park from stops close to both rail stations; please note that this is a chargeable service and is not operated by the park. The first bus leaves Windsor at 10am and the last bus leaves 30 mins after the park has closed.

Someone as advised me that I be best go from Waterloo direct to there but I'm not really wanting to use Underground, also from Legoland advice that also means catching the underground too,to get to Paddington from either Victoria or Charing X.

So what I been trying figure out is if I go from London Victoria to Clapham Junction ( takes about 7 mins ) and then catch a train from there to Windsor Eton/Riverside takes about 45mins and then there something about a walk from there to Windsor Eton Central which according to the journey planner takes 12mins.

If I was to do this option how easy is it for directions to walk amongst.

I was planning to go for 2days in Legoland ( which is really more like day and half as I've got a good 90mins or so travelling to get to London anyway ) and spent 1 night in Travelodge in Slough or possibly 2 nights and spend the next day coming back having a walk about in London, perhaps could do London Eye or something.

Or has anyone got any other ways it could be done, the journey set out by the journey planner takes about same time as my way of doing it via Victoria - Clapham Junc and so on,just it's avoiding Tube and this I prefer.
What is best way or any other way doing it?

would I have to pay loads more in travel to doing it another way than not set out by journey planner, have got Family Railcard.
I looked aroudn too on some websites and there talk of bus services straight to Legoland but they also include entry and I've already got my Clubcard Deals.
