hi, my partner is going away on thurs and needs to get to heathrow terminal 1 from victoria. we've been told that the best route for him to take is from victoria (circle line) to south kensington, then south kensington (picadilly) to terminal 1. does he need two seperate tickets (one for the victoria to south kensington, and one for south kensington to terminal 1) or just one ticket for victoria to heathrow? also he will travelling from 6.30am, can anyone tell me if this is a busy time and also ive noticed thre is a possibility of a strike, is this going to affect his routes? thankyou for any help and advice.

You will only need to purchase 1 ticket from zone 1-6 or a travel card. Not too sure about the strike. You can always check the TFL website.

If he takes the Circle line train to High Street Kens he can walk to Paddington, takes 5 mins and then get the Heathrow Express. Not too busy and will avoid the strikes. If he gets an Oyster card the ticket is only £2 single as he's travelling before 7am. If not the cash price for ticket on platform is only £4.

Not a straight train without hitting the striking platforms.

What about getting the no.36 bus from Victorian heading towards Queens Park Stn, takes about 20 minutes and goes straight to Paddington.

The Circle line should take him directly to Paddington but all higgledy piggledy with the strikes, he could be ok on the day
