help with photo re-sizing to 16:9 for a digital frame ???

hello. i just got a photo frame and need to know how to resize photos to 16:9 so that they fit better on the screen and also some of my pics are portrait is there any way i can crop them downa nd re-size to make them fit better on the screen?
hope someone can help me ....

okies. just downloaded it...
opened up.. do i just go to file then open.. select a picture??
and then what lol im new to all this so hope you dont mind :D x

yep open or open sequentially - to open more than one can select more than one by holding ctrl and selecting more than one file or ctrl + a to select a whole directory

the just move the box and crop looks ok and save
it does not overwrite your original fles

thanks. been giving this a go.. but it gives me a block to move around whcih will crop the photo but its not big enough and just cut most of the pic off wen i select ok. sorry im a pain..

sorry I should have read your post a bit better didnt see that they are portrait
the only way I have been able to do the is to manually add a frame in a paintshop.

i have some landscape but lots of portrait aswel ... and just dont have the offgiest what to do..
i havnt got paintshop so will see if i can download that now lol. thanku for trying to help hehe x

If you have windows vista, it comes with windows photo gallery which is very easy to crop 16:9 in both landscape and portrait.
Just click fix, crop, proportion

I'm not sure if this is correct for you but if you're asking for photos to be made smaller to fit into the frame and you are using Microsoft XP and have outlook you can select the picture on your pc and then choose the option on the left hand side menu to e-mail it and it gives you the option to make my pictures smaller. Then it's attached in the e-mail. From there just click on it and save that smaller copy and upload that to the digital frame.
