Help with suits

im not usually one to buy suits but i do need one
can someone aid me a bit
What does the S M L refer to next to the size and is it better to go one size up then your normal size?

You sure it's not S, R or L?

S - Short (for trousers leg length, for jackets arm length)
R - Regular
L - Long

Best thing to do is try them on, don't try and guess. Nothing worse than an ill-fitting suit...

my mistake it is S R L
just wondering as ive just seen a deal posted online which seems pretty good to me but i am unsure on the size
ill give it a miss
no point wasting money on something that wont fit

You can always order two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit.

Hold your arms down by your sides and bend your thumb. Where the point of your thumb touches your leg, thats the correct length for a suit jacket. So get someone to measure the length from your shoulder to that point and that tells you how long your jacket should be. Marks and Spencer tell you how long the S, R & L jackets are in each size. They are also a good place to go and try some on so you know your size. You can also buy from them online and then change the size instore if its wrong.

im going to order to a store so the day i can make it i can always exchange if i dont fit :)
