i would imagine its just software to put encription on a file!! lol

encription?? can you explain what that is
#9
im assuming that you press the button and it will encrypt a file so that only you can decrypt it with maybe a password or something!? just press it and let us know what it says

(masterruckus can not be held responsible for anything that happened or will happen when his advice is taken)

Are you runing Vista Utlimate ?

That has something called BitLocker that encrypts files but not sure if this is it as I have never used it.

Encrypt means "pack" the file so nobody else can read it, and it can only be read if you have the password.

Decrypt means the reverse, "unpack" a file that has been Encrypted.

If you do encrypt a file and put a password on it note that if you forget the password you will never be able to see what is in it again so use it carefully.

Is it an Acer laptop ?

Looks like it is a feature of Acer laptops: Acer eDataSecurity Management

PSD stands for Personal Secure Disk

It's an acer toolbar - nothing to do with vista.
