Nooooooooooooooooooo not Heroes! My favourite show.

same here the last season was poor compared to the previous ones and was getting a bit samey however i though one final season to wrap things up would have been spot on

Fringe.

There's a new one called Happy Town that looks well strange (although I've only watched ep 1 so far).

No info yet on the fall seasons in the US, at least not that I can find. There's going have to be replacements for the cancelled shows.

Highly recommend 24.
Trying to catch up myself.
My m8 has put them on a dvd for me but only managed to watch 3 episodes so far lol.
VERY addictive though, give it a go.

Also if you never saw prison break, i highly recommend that too

I really enjoyed 4400, it has slight similarities to Heroes. Unfortunately it was also canceled in the 4th season I think. Pushing Daisies is one of my all time favorites, very quirky, almost quite Tim Burton-like. Once again it was cancelled and given a really disappointing wrap up of the story line at the end of the last episode.

hercules
white collar
vampire diaries
greys anatomy
24 season 1-8 (be sure to turn ur brain off)

i loved season 1 of heroes, season 2 was ok and liked most of season 3 but by the end of s3 i totally went off it and watched a few of season 4 and then stopped watching...

gutted about flash forward but then again was hoping they would tie things up and only have 1 season instead of dragging it on, now it seems some questions will be answered but will remain with more of an open ending :(
#18
It never recovered from the writers strike. It had become almost laughable in places (sylar in a dress, lesbian kiss) and I'll just forget everything that happened after they saved the cheerleader(the 1st time around).

just noticed someone mentioned the 4400, if you liked heroes then get a hold of this. It's the show heroes could've been.

Oh and its only took me 3 months or so to do 7 seasons of 24, just in time to start season 8 and it's cancellation.
#19
audiences have changed-think they are SICK of programmes that just go NOWHERE season after season so not surprised to see the end of heroes and flash forward. Lost would have been cancelled too long ago unless the creators had stated in advance when it would end.

whats the point of watching season afer season with no progress to the storyline being made?

dexter-best ever
the tudors-wildly historically innacurate but taken at face value very good
breaking bad-brilliantly written and acted
prison break-first season possibly the best single season of any show-all went downhill after that

You mention some really great shows there. Can't forget Entourage & the Wire (Underbelly is Australian mind you and i gave up after the end of the 1st season- got fed up with "It's a Jungle Out There")

Life is another good one to check out, there's 2 seasons of it but then it was cancelled, apparently the ending of season 2 isn't great, and leaves alot of unanswered questions but I still would reccomend it!!

Agreed on Heroes, the finale of season was the biggest anti-climax to a great season I've ever seen. I honestly think the creative team just didn't know what to do with it. I've heard from other reliable people how much worse it has got so I'm glad I cut my losses with it after the second season.

I can't believe Flash Forward has been cancelled, def my fav show at the moment... very upset that we'll never learn the outcome :(

Chemistry teacher becomes drug dealer to pay for hospital treatments. Fantastic show. Currently watching 3rd series

Dexter, definitely. I think the most important aspect of any TV show is that you can like the characters, s'way more important than stuff like what kind of show it is, or what the situation is, and whatever else. Michael Hall's portrayal of Dexter alone makes the show worth watching (just watch the first five minutes of the first episode, you'll be hooked or not from that alone), and everything and everyone else is up to an abnormally high standard. John Lithgow's performance as a serial killer in the 4th season is especially excellent. As a fellow Heroes and Flashforward fan, I can recommend it fo' sure.

Shame about them getting canned as i really liked them, but at the mo I watch these:

Fringe (Last EP was so good, 1 left of the latest series) good back catalog if you have not seen any
Vampire Diaries (Not bad, until True blood comes back)
Flash forward (you watch this already)
Chuck (Fanbloodytastic)
The Big Bang Theory (Good to fill gaps)
Cougar Town (Funny, still evolving so watch this space)
Happy Town (Only seen 3 Eps and seems good quite dark and interesting)
Stargate Universe (Stargate Original was good when new and all the other have been POO but this is really good)
The Tudors (Not bad if you like that sort of thing)
Sons of Tuscun (Bloke from Reaper only 3Eps so far but looks very funny)
Lost (ending soon)

Waiting for the series:
True Blood (6-6-2010 coming back and very good)
Spartacus Blood and Sand (Really good and visually great and funny and bloody)

Series that I have watched that have been canned so you can get the whole lot to watch in your own time:
Reaper (Fantastically Funny)
Heroes (Will be sadly missed)
Sancutary (Bit like Heroes & Fringe mixed up, quite good and still might make a comeback)

There are more but not at home so cant remember all of my back catalog lol
#37
i hate it when they stop making more series that are really good ie :

The Unit
Terminator - sarah connor chronicles
Reaper

apparently i got the release date of true blood wrong - how glad am i.. lol :)

Is V (2009) any good ?
#39
Can't believe Flashforward is being cancelled. I had high hopes for this as Lost is ending, and I've been enjoying it.

Will have to think about what else I can watch, as 24 doesn't appeal to me, and neither did Prison Break.
