Never get a driver whiskey or other alcohol drinks (it send the wrong message). A gift card at an appropriate store might be the way to go.

how about making up a little xmas hamper

in the case of my local driver it would be a new pair of glasses ;)

tbh he'd most likely prefer a nice card with some cash inside.

I think its a lovely gesture and you should go with what you think, my dad used to work as a butcher and used to deliver all over the place and country runs, and used to get a fair few bottles, doesnt mean he was thought of as an alcy, or sat at side of road having a swig

You can actually do that, its a gift voucher for a day out where you can drive a ferarri.

Don't know about in NI near you but the airport local to me has a company doing a flying experience for £70 where you get to take the controls for a while. Know it's slightly more than you were thinking of paying but will be remenbered more than a bottle and chocs.

Gift Voucher for ParcelForce! lmao, Nah seriously umm chocos :P

Your original thought is the one to go for and speaking as a parcel delivery driver giving alcohol doesn't send the wrong message and it is what is generally given as a gesture of appreciation to good drivers at Christmas time, he will be both surprised and delighted you have noticed his hard work throughout the year and probably a little embarrassed too.
