Hey.

My iPod headphones have broken, so i am looking for some new ones. Never really thought too much of the sound quality or the volume, so i am looking for some new ones.

Anyone got any they could recommend for a reasonable price? around £20?

I have brand new iPod headphones with the mic still stealed in the plastic... Got them with my Touch and never used them (got me some Bose :))

Is it possible your iPod has a volume limit in place which could be bypassed?
Efficient IEMs are most likely to address the inadequate volume issue without the addition of an amplifier.

CX300 are around £20 and decent. Just make sure you get them directly from Amazon, Play.com, MyMemory or another trusted Sennheiser re-seller. Don't ever buy Sennheisers from eBay/Amazon Marksetplace/PlayTrade sellers as in 99% of cases, they're fake and will sound god-awful.

Interesting. Just been reading reviews on this, and it seems to be a great set of headphones. Many people have compared this to the high end Shure ones. I do wonder though, how these compare to my Sennheisser CX500's.

I picked up some UltimateEars MetroFi 220's for £18 from Play a while back. They're out of stock now, but if you can find some in your price range they're great earphones.

Ill compare em to the bose ones i had. The bass honestly isnt as good but vocals is amazing and they are also louder which is a big + for me.

I second the soundmagic pl30s. Great headphones for the price. Get them from pricethriller who are based in the UK. At least that way you know you will have them in a few days.

Interesting. Will definitely look into them once my CX500's die!
