Hi Op

I live in bournemouth which is about 15mins away max by car.

In Poole itself, there are 2 large tescos, one off the main A35 which is 24hour and a smaller one at Tower Park, which i'm not sure is 24 hour.

As far as Lidls, there's loads dotted around and tere is also a big Asda just outside Poole, you will see it on the right if you drive into Poole town from Rockley Park. (again 24hr)

Places to visit - depends how far you want to go and if you're coming by car, and also the weather!

The forecast this weekend is sunny, dry but a bit nippy apparently.

Anyway, here in Bournemouth is well worth a visit - great beach for walks, good shops and loads of places to eat. You can also go up in the Bournemouth Eye which is a big helium balloon tethered to the floor,On a clear day you can see for miles.

Poole park is also nice for a walk with the family. And a bit closer.

Let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for and I'll do my best!

Col.

By the way, Tower Park in Poole is good for the kids - shops, bowling, swimming, cafes etc. Good if the weather not up to much.

Thank you! At least we won't starve and won't have to pack the car up with food now! I was thinking of a trip to Corfe Castle - do you think this is something the kids would enjoy? Debs

Depends on your kids.! There's not a lot there, it's a ruin on top of quite a large hill. There's a visitor centre and cafe as well. If they like their history then they will prob enjoy it. Bear in mind though it is quite a long and steep walk up to the castle itself and not for the faint-hearted.

This place is cool and not far from where you are staying -

Could be worth a look.

If corfe castle is not their thing, there's always the railway as well at Corfe where the steam trains pass though from Swanage. A good handful of lovely pubs also in Corfe as well.

Also Bovington Tank Museum is great as well and not far -->Tank Museum
