Holiday Cottages in Grange Over Sands

Hello all

We are thinking of going to Grange Over Sands for a weeks holiday, starting 30th May. There's me, my wife, and our boy who wil be 2 by the time we go. No pets, but I am a smoker (although I will not smoke in the cottage).

We've been all over the internet and are still no nearer to finding anything that we like/can afford. We are looking to pay approx up £300 (give or take).

If there's anyone out there who can recommend anywhere we'd be most grateful if you could post a link or something.

A highcahir/cot is fairly essential also I'm afraid (due to the boy needing these and me travelling in a Micra)

Any help/suggestions would e MOST appreciated

Thanks in advance
Andy

A few years back we stayed in an old country house converted into seperate holiday cottages in Grange over Sands it was within a caravan club site. Was really nice and our youngest was about 6 at the time and loved it.

I can't remember what it was called, but we booked it through a company called "Welcome Cottages"

I will try and find a link.

Hope this helps.

Really nice little site just up the road from Grange.

It is a holiday cottage within a caravan club site, which basically means you are very safe as the entrance is restricted to residents. Our youngest actually had a birthday whilst we where there and the site warden (for the caravan site) whom we had been chatting to one day put a blackboard outside the wardens hut with balloons and a happy birthday message for her. Really made her day !

You know your car is safe as there is a car park for the converted country house which can be seen easily.

I personally would recommend it. We enjoyed our stay.

This is the same country house as the previous link you have put up. Basically there are a few cottages converted from the one country house.

As you look at the main photo we stayed in the bit with the french / patio doors on the right as you look at the photo.

Suze, you're a star. Thanks.

I think we'll look into this a lot more.

Sarah (my much better half) says "do you know if it has a bath?" :-D

The one we stayed in had a bath and shower cubicle. The bathroom was huge, don't know about the others though

DLM and Suzie we can't thank you enough. We've now progressed from "stuck and confused" to "spoilt for choice". We're gonna sleep on it. But I suppose it will come down to availability. But both look great.

If either of you need any help/advice on anything please please PM me and I will do anything that I can to help.

You are both worth your weight in gold.

Thanks Andy, Sarah and baby Daniel
