The hotel won't mind how old the kids are - the problem will come (if at all) when you book the holiday with Thomson, as you will be asked for the children's ages when filling in the booking form.

If they kick up a fuss just plead ignorance.

I would contact the hotel. You can normally find the number on a search engine.
I would be more inclined to follow the hotels rules as Thomsons is a general policy whereas the hotel age restrictions are obviously specifically for that hotel.

They'll make you pay for another room, thats if there is one. You have to remember kids with a combined age of up to 11 sharing a bed is considered fine, any older and it can be seen as a bit weird lol, and may even be against the law there?

Depends what you are after.

Go though EasyJet & you get the option to book a hotel.

In January, you'll get your arm bitten off by most of the operators if it not a ski type resort.

E.g. we got 3 nights in Prague for less than £100 per person, (all adults). Including a 4* hotel with full brekkie thrown in.

Shop around, you'll find something.

And on that note, Easy jet have announced their winter schedule today, get on quick!!!!

Have you tried www.otbeach.com ? They seem to have very competitive prices. I put in your details, flying from Edinburgh I guessed (even cheaper if you fly from Glasgow) and this is what I got. I did it as 3 adults and 1 child. And I chose Half Board basis, cheaper again if you choose B&B.

Forget the holiday, buy him a large screen tv or a ps3. Or buy him them and take yourself and the kids on holiday, that would be my ideal 40th.

Judging by your thread on Dating Tips for men, I reckon you're going to be making your own arrangements for your 40th birthday!!! :p

If you book the flight with Ryanair it will cost about £40 return. You can still book the hotel direct with Thomson and it will be £295 for the week, you will have to pay or arrange transfers as well but it should be a lot cheaper. I take my 17 year old as a child in half board in Thomson hotels, the rooms are family and the parents get a room and the kids have a seperate lounge/bedroom/settee so there is privacy......have one booked this autumn .You also get the Thomson rep and all that stuff included if you only book hotel.

Hopefully she bought him the ps3 and the tv and took the kids away for a fortnight.
