My gf and I wanna have a short break in Cornwall, we don't mind camping to avoid hotel costs but what is there to do down there?

I found this site - http://www.campsites-cornwall.co.uk/ but I don't know which town would be the best

+rep for any help/suggestions :)

I would say St Ives for a trip to see things at but to maybe stay probably Newquay is nice and has a beachy resort feel so would be a good place to stay just avoid the smaller towns i live in cornwall and they suck to be honest with nothing there to do apart from walk and shop.
also Porthleven it has a cool Minack Theatre Porthcurno which is situated by the sea its wierd but nice to visit.

What do you like doing?

Have a look at this:

Newquay is OK for a day out but there are nicer beaches - see what Col says in ^^^ thread.

Lots of proper walks along the coast and so on.
Some people like the Eden Project and there are a few other nice gardens.

It'll just be my gf and I so we just want to go to the beach and maybe a short walk (I have a bad foot/leg) and go to a nice pub/restaurant.

Is St Ives a better place to go for us? We aren't really into clubbing/heavy drinking.

We love Crantock, it has the most amazing beach!

Get yourself down to The Eden Project if it's a sunny day. You'll leave there with a tan as if you've been to the Caribbean!! Because it's set in an old quarry (I think you spell it like that), it catches the suns rays brilliantly.

This site overlooks the beach at Crantock which is fabulous and vast.

This site is reasonable and you don't have to use the club bar and facilities, it's a quiet site and close to the local village with a lovely pub and somewhere to get cream teas!!

I'll just post the place I usually post about...

http://little-orchard-village.co.uk/ - st agnes, not too far from newquay etc.

The smallest is stupidly cheap, and quite basic (still nice tho), and then bigger lodges if you need them.

Like I said basic, but cheap, and in my opinion much better than camping etc... down the hill to a cove and a great pub!
