Skegness mate you cant beat good old sunny skeggy! In the summer I can bump into more people I know from my home town walking round there than i can at home!

Having said that ive managed to bump into people I know in both Malta and Ibiza, Its quite freaky being so far away then bumping into someone you know in a Maltese shop or on the beach in Ibiza! Really is a small world!

Hey Scarborough better than skeggy lol
And yes agree totally when abroad when you bump into people you know its worse when you don't like them and they happen to be at the same hotel its what nightmares are made of at that point :giggle:

Well if you go long haul you can put aside £97 each in passenger tax which all goes to that very greedy man in #10 and then you can set aside another £80 for airline charges including fuel surcharges, the thiefing *******'s so that £400 spent for you before you even leave your house so where did you want to go again? :whistling:

No we use bonus points codes at tesco.com to get say, 500 points on our grocery shop. That converts to £20 in Deals. It soon adds up when you shop there every week! You can use them at virgin holidays (america, caribbean etc) Cosmos (europe) and also in the UK and Ireland. We've got £204 now in points so that converts to about £816 for a holiday :) Once our february statement arrives, we'll probably have added to that total so we'll be getting towards the £1000 mark :)

No probs- always check the voucher section on here and on moneysavingexpert,
wine shops are a good way to rack up points- there's a 1000 point code floating about somewhere which is worth £40.
And the good thing is, although the codes can only be used once per account, you can have an account in your name, and one in your wifes name, both registered at the same address but using different email addresses. Holiday vouchers are issued with the surname on so you'll be able to use the vouchers from both accounts.
AND if you sign up, go through Quidco as you get a fiver per account.

AND there's a 750 points code for new customers in the vouchers section.

We got a bargain holiday last year to Sri Lanka........£385 per person for 2 weeks B&B.Absolutely loved it and will definitely go again. We booked fairly last minute(4 weeks beforehand).

If you are thinking of going to Goa(hums Alabama 3 tune!) then it may be worth looking for March deals with First Choice. They do Goa from Nov to April and Sri Lanka for the other 6 months. As we went at the end of the Sri Lanka season we got a fab deal. They also have great legroom on the plane which is a bonus.

Wow thats fantastic Sri Lanka for 385 pp that is a really good deal, We do like to go off the beaten track so will start to look for that and the leg room really helps sell a holiday these days lol.
We went to Turkey last June and the flights ruined it cramped as hell.
Thanks for the advise very useful :-D

We fly longhaul for our hols these days and as we can only afford scumbag class it was a nice change to have a bit of legroom!Have flown with Singapore airlines,Qantas,Cathay etc and First Choice was definitely more roomy:thumbsup:

We found our holiday through these http://www.travelsupermarket.com/ and booking online direct with First choice was the cheapest(they list various agents selling the same holiday and prices do vary) with their online discounts etc.

Good luck,I hope you can find a great deal.....we are off to Thailand,Malaysia and Cambodia for 4 weeks at new year, just booked our flights and are travelling independantly when we get there......5 weeks and 6 days to go.....not that I'm counting!!:-D

Roflmao @ scumbag class my kids call it poor class which makes us feel great and were the same couldn't justify or afford spending thousands extra on first class travel, That sounds brilliant Thailand,Malaysia and Cambodia for 4 weeks. 2 friends of ours (girls) are actually doing that Thailand,Malaysia and Cambodia trip right now back packing their way across which my wife was not happy about them doing 2 young girls on their own still waiting for their emails
and photo's, Are you guys back packing too am so jealous we gotta wait till middle of February

Yup.....rucksacks,travel as light as poss(though there is always room for my hairdryer!).We have booked accommodation for new year on Koh Lanta as it gets busy in Thailand at that time, the rest is where it takes us.It is very easy travelling around that part of the world,it is well set up for travellers, very cheap buses, trains and you can fly reasonably from country to country with Air Asia to save a bit of time. And it's so cheap when you are there.....you can stay in backpacker places for £3 a night and eat very well for 50p-£1:w00t:
