Honeymoon help

I am getting married this July and need to sort out the Honeymoon asap!

I want to surpirise the misses but she knows I intended to do one week in Dubai then another week somewhere else (well thats what she is expecting).

I know she really would like to do Vegas but said we can do that as a normal holiday once we are married.

To surpirse her, I am thinking a week in vegas then a week in Hawaii?

Any advice, recommendations from anyone out there on this idea? Or do you have any other places recommended to go?

We arent into the typical beachy holiday cause we both would get bored.

Thanks

Go to Seville, really nice and picturesque.

July is actually good for Italy and Sicily because of the various festivals. Guaranteed a lively atmosphere.

alternatively, try something offbeat like Slovenia or maybe Singapore.

Hi there,

I booked a honeymoon today for august for a couple who done the following -

Vegas 3nts
Hawai 7nts
San Francisco 4nts

All flights and accommodation flying from manchster came in at £3400 which wasn't bad as they ranged in price from £3400 upto £4400.

I suppose how much you want to spend depends on where you can go really. If you want Dubai you can also do twin centre with Maldives or Sri Lanka. Or what about Mauritius/Seychelles, Caribbean or even the Far East......

Hope this helps :)

thanks for that. I looked at mauritus and seychelles but I hear thats real expensive. Happy to fork out between £3k to £4k.

Do you work for travel agents? If so, do you rekon I could get a good Vegas/Hawai deal in my budget?

Yeah im a travel agent....I think you could get a good deal....depends on where you want to stay I suppose. If you take the cheapest flights rather than the most direct you will pay less...but will obviously take you longer.

There is a direct BMI flight to Vegas on a tues, thurs n sunday i think...then to go to hawaii you will have to go via somewhere then via Vegas on the way home. The guy I booked today is staying at the Luxor in Vegas and a place called Wylands in Hawaii...

Anymore info you want give me a shout n ill try n help :o)

The Bellaigo is one of the best 5* Hotels on the strip and the fountains are amazing....can also say the the Wynn is amazing aswell. Also look at somewhere like The Venetian or The Hotel @ Mandalay Bay which are both 4*.

In Hawaii you really need to decide on an island - Hawaii itself, Honalulu (Oahu - Waikiki), Molokai, Maui, Lanai or Kauai. Obviously each island has different types of hotels but most people ive booked there tend to go for Honalulu as this caters for most and is popular with honeymooners.

Again HTH

Thanks again, a friend of mine recommends Kauai island as it is the "true" hawaii. He tells me the big island is too "americanised". I hear that you can do island hops as well?

Can you possibly give me an idea how much vegas/hawaii package is likely to set me back please? Planning to fly out the week commencing 14 July 2008.
