Hi, We recently got engaged and have now booked out wedding for 6th November.
We are hoping to go to Mexico - Cancun for or honeymoon however my fiancee isnt sure at the moment whether they will be able to fly that far so i am trying to think of destination nearer in case we have to.
I have already started looking at Egypt - Sharm but just wondered if you had any other suggestions.
Obviously its in November so weather isnt great anywhere.
Any ideas?

Thanks

South Africa would be amazing, 12 hour flight but only about an hours time difference so no jet lag. Weather will be lovely in November.

Yes we had thought of that but its no better than mexico!!
Thanks anyway

Because of the lack of time difference if you take an evening flight you can get some sleep on board and you will arrive there in the morning so it won't feel like a 12 hour flight. If you decide you can take a flight that long then I'd definitely choose SA over Mexico for a honeymoon.

Morocco could be an idea.

I hope you get to go to Cancun, went there on holiday in October, it was beautiful. Although it was hurricane season, we had 1 dull, yet warm half day in the whole week. The temp ranged from 22 - 30 at that time, so i don't think the weather will be that bad.
I'd reccomend Dreams Resorts.

Cheap B + B for gods sake your on your honeymoon as if you will see much of the outside world, make the most of it as after two month of marriage you will be glad to have space from each other, so book into a cheap b+b for a week and make the most of the honeymoon period.

It is a stunning place, it's just the airport which is a bit crazy... so many people trying to sell you things on the way out!

Thanks for the great advice, however I will have to ignore it as we are looking forward to an amazing honeymoon wherever we end up going.
Thanks.

I just thought Cruise too and would recommend it if you've never tried one before. Seasickness isn't a problem as the ships have stabilizers built in and they don't roll around at all.. and when your on one you can't tell your moving .....its just a big floating hotel where everyday you wake up with somewhere new to explore :)

Caribbean is fantastic, I think the flight to Miami is about 8 hours

You can also do Mediterranean cruises from Southampton.. so no need to fly at all (_;)
