Honeytrapping-what do the ladies (or men) think of this?

Story in the papers today about a woman who makes her living as a "honeytrapper"-she works for an agency and is hired by women who want to know if their partner would cheat on them. She deliberately chats up the "target" in clubs/pubs/hotels etc and sees how far they will go. Charges 2000 quid if the partner wants her to kiss them and leave it at that, and 8000 to sleep with them.

She claims to have trapped 60 guys in one year, slept with 15 of them and all the women concerned have actually thanked her profusely for doing so.

Any ladies who would hire someone like this?Remember, this is not someone hiring a private investigator to prove their husband/partner is having an affair-this woman deliberately attempts to get men into bed to see if they will do it.

And before anyone accuses me of sitting on the fence,I genuinely dont know what to make of it-part of me thinks its all a bit weird, and part says if the guys cheating he deserves all he gets.

Any thoughts?

Sounds a bit dodgy, a kiss maybe to prove intention of cheating was there, but to sleep with someone for money is prostitution imho
#2
Wonder if she needs any help, just emailing her :)
#3
Where can I apply? Would be nice to get paid to chat up women without the fear of rejection :P
#4
Pretty much the same but it just shows the differences in men and womens ideas I think, I have heard stories like this before and the honeytrapper seems to enjoy her work!

IMO often its just a form of power over men as the honeytrapper does it so she can validate her own morals

Wasnt honey in eastenders originally in eastenders as a honey trap and she got the wrong bloke and started chatting up billy instead

Honey Mitchell

In 2005 Is hired by Yolande Trueman via a ‘honeytrap’ agency to set up Yolande’s hubby Patrick. Spotted by Billy, who offers to help kickstart a modeling career, and they’re soon an item.

That is right...she was trying to find Patrick out...

Yeah, it's weird. I guess if the payer would never touch the offending OH again if he was found to be cheating, then I could see that it might be money well spent. If they'd give their man a second chance, it's a bit daft, giving some straage bird a free ticket to bonk your bloke, no?
#8
Reminds you to be careful! If she has had a confirmed 15 sexual partners in just one year, and that was business, not even her personal life!

True...but she'd probably claim the £8000 isn't for the bonk...business women are clever like that ;o)
#12
It's a service for nutty women, if you think your husband/bf is like that and don't trust them save your £8000 rather than spend on what is essentially a hooker, use it on a good solicitor to get your share and a holiday.

Or unless you have reason to doubt a good counsellor.
#13
I think men that would re-buff a woman that came onto them are without doubt a minority, irrespective of how happy they were in their relationship.

Well she would have to, otherwise it is soliciting. But that is crazy! I think I shall set up a similar business! Who wants to chat up women, and possibly sleep with them for money?

...Hang on, lets just start up a gigolo service!

Your share of his finances? Or your share of joint finances? :whistling:

TBH that's not strictly true, there are men out there who still think with their brains, mad but true, they know how much divorce costs now................also a lot of men would crap themselves if approached by a honeytrap.

I am guessing these wives and blokes are loaded, so they probably have an ego so big they have women gravitating around them all the time, normal joe bloggs would probably die of embarassment at the "confident" honeytrap or be so drunk they couldn't even in they wanted too.

Both, your joint and his future earnings and pension, just to twist the knife :w00t:

I will pay you 8k to chat up mrs barky as long as you never bring her back, and accept responsibility for the kids and the dalmation afterwards:whistling:

That's like entrapment. Some of those blokes may never have cheated if she hadn't cajouled them.

Ok well good luck proving that in court that you should be entitled to his future earnings, many believe they can and fail greatly.

Luckily then entrapment is not a defence when it comes to criminal law, let alone personal problems!
...Some people are just moral-less

It is very sad really. What a horrible way to earn money. It is a sad cynical world we live in. Whether she sees it herself, others will see her as a prostitute.

Er woah there..........why the hate, I don't intend on divorcing my hubby ta, but as a woman having followed him around in his military career, sacrificing my own career for him to earn megabucks, and stay at home supporting the kids, damn right I would be entitled to maintenance for myself if we divorced, seen it happen before............

It's a non issue tho:thumbsup:

I fail to see hate, unless you believed it was directed specifically towards you? Which is was but a point of argument, using your example, as under no circumstances was I assuming you were going through a divorce! Maybe in your case you would be, but only if you could show you wouldnt have done the same even if he had not had that job.

But as it is a non issue, I'll assume you were merely responding to the point.

So your missus pays for a hooker for you, and you also get to discover just what a psycho you're dating:thumbsup:

OP should've put this in the Deals forum.

hmm I can understand both sides really. If you really were worried that your spouse maybe putting it about then I can see why some woman would opt for this. However if you don't/cant trust your spouse then I personally feel the relationship is not worth the effort?!

So if the guy just doesn't find her attractive then it's hardly foolproof.

This this this this!!!!

I read it too and what got me was she said she'd sleep with the man for 'the job' but surely once the get to that point she could make her excuses and leave instead of actually doing the deed!! If an under cover female cop was trying to catch a man paying for sex, she woulnd have to sleep with him to prove it?!

Or if your guy is a closet homesexual, it won't do you much good either.

prostitution according to Encyclopedia Britannica

Practice of engaging in sexual activity, usually with individuals other than a spouse or friend, in exchange for immediate payment in money or other valuables.

She is a prosser, lock her up!

Or he could be interested in men and cheating with other men rather than women but likes to think of himself as straight so has a girlfriend and she assumes because he seems uninterested and doesnt want to have sex hes sleeping with another woman!
