Some great oldies - The Thing, Near dark, Jacobs Ladder, Evil dead 1 and 2, Nightmare on Elm street 1, Halloween (78 version), Wicker man (73 version), Blair Witch project, The deep
And more recently - Drag me straight to Hell...forget all the torture porn and for the 'proper' horror LOL!

recently saw drag me to hell - disappointed

the hills have eyes gave me goosebumps, but only cos of the gross rape scene, eurgh

Not a fan of the non english ones, watched the ring Japanese version and couldnt get into it
The amityville horror just didnt do it for me
Will look at 5reviews for Evil Dead though :thumbsup:

Evil Dead 1 and 2 + Army of Darkness, these treat the horror genre as it should be treated and are great!

Will probs get rinsed but I love The Grudge, The Ring, Blair Witch Project for their scaryness - ghosty things just scare the carp outta me!

+1 a good horror wouldnt need to stoop so low imo

i love a good horror but im always disapointed they are never scary:roll:
most have become far too predictable

ye the story is teasing but the ending is "lol-able" lol

as per OP, hollywood dont do Asian horror movies remakes (the ring, the grugde, one missed call, a tale of tow sisters (Jesica alba's the univited)) for no reasons... but i guess everyone has their own taste of scariness lol :thumbsup:

the strangers was the worst film i've ever watched, im so happy i never paid to watch it, my date did :giggle:
i've added some of those to my lovefilm rental list :)

Grotesque Japanese Film banned by the BBFC this week, even the trailer is 18 rated, I won't link it but holy @~?!
