Hi all,

One of my radiators was hot at the bottom but cool at the top, and after advice from family that is it needed bleeding, a bought a key and released the air until water appeared and tightened it back up again. The radiator is now working fine and it is nice and hot, but I have no hot water coming out of my taps...Nightmare!

I'm a complete novice at this sort of stuff, hence my plea for help on here!

Could anyone hazard a guess at the problem?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Andrew

Is it a combi boiler
If it give hot water and radiators as well its a combi and the pressure is low
A gague on the front pannel will show pressure like a car speedo.

A green line or somthing like that with 1.5 bar ie as ok yours will be low i think mine did it.

To re pressureise it theres a small tap on some on the bottom turn it and watch the pressure build.
Or a hose like a shower hose on top below or inside.Easy job if you find filler devise.

I've just looked and there is indeed a pressure gauge showing 0! I'm on the hunt for a tap like thing to try and build it back up again...

Look for the cold water feed touch the pipe and find cold one follow that top filler
Mine stoped hot water now and again it was a smell sensor inside boiler just droped front panel and it clamped over the water feed to sence water flow to turn on boiler.
Hope this helps.
Post make and model of boiler and might find how to check and fill for you.
