Did you also see the yearly pass offer that was on here? May be of use maybe not?

legoland is terrible imo, not worth the overall expense you will incur.

It depends on the child's age and when you go!
We have annual passes and are lucky enough to live quite near Legoland, so we went twice last week!
Our 3 year old daughter loves it there as nearly all the 'big rides' are a minimum height restriction of 1m.
Food can be pricey, but at a few of the restaurants in the park, kids eat free after 3pm, so pack a few snacks to tide them over and you can save a bit. :)

There a Travelodge in Windsor, stayed at the Travelodge at Slough before but it's better to stay in Windsor, plus I do public transport,so nearer I can stay the better. It takes maybe 10mins to walk round from Travelodge in Windsor to get the Lego shuttle bus,so you only looking a about a 15-20min drive or so.

My daughter was 5 when we went. Queueing up for over an hour for 1 ride is a joke. you spend more tine queueing then anything else.

If you collect Tesco points, check what hotel chains you can use with clubcard vouchers. We used clubcard vouchers to stay at the Marriott near Heathrow and its about 12 miles from Legoland......

I've stopped at the Premier Inn @ Bracknell Central before, it was well worth the 30 quid we paid for the room.

It has a pub attached to it that has a decent area for kids to play in.

Again thats totally dependent on when you go. If you go at weekends or during school holidays of course it will be busy.

I've been legoland numerous time and never had to queue more than 30 minutes, a lot of the time we have been allowed to stay on rides and go again its been that quiet. But then I'll go during term time on inset or occassional days.

tell me one theme park where u don't spend more time queing than on actual rides?!

Well like I said, we went twice last week, and literally walked onto pretty much all the rides and were allowed to stay on for another go as there was no queue. (Staff member on the pirate falls water ride practically forced us to stay on!- We didn't mind as were soaked already! :D)
We are lucky that our daughter isn't in school yet so we can go weekdays, we have been during the holidays and weekends and we get more stressed out than it's worth!

We are looking to go to Thorpe Park in August and i've been trying to find hotels near by. Thorpeparkbreaks do some really good deals for the hotel and the tickets when bougt together as a package and the nicest hotel i've seen on it is the Beaumont House, Old Windsor. Wondering how much a taxi would be roughly from there to Thorpe Park?

Southend, 10 quid for a wristband and you get much more use out of it :)

We stayed at the Legoland hotel about a month after it opened, a lovely hotel but if you look now it is fully booked for 2 months!! - Have a look at the Holiday Inn Chessington, a lovely hotel and it's not too badly priced, not that far away.

Thats probably why I didnt think it was worth it. spent nigh on 200 quid that day and she got on about 5-6 rides. I suppose if you live next to it and get a yearly pass its probably decent.

last time we went we stayed at the travel lodge in slough, never again, it was awful, dirty rooms, disgusting food, miles from anywhere unless you wanted to take the car, which if you did you couldnt get a parking space when you got back, the car park is a god awful nightmare, once we parked you had to climb out of the hatchback boot because you couldnt open the car doors if there were cars either side of you! the most ignorant staff ive ever had the misfortune to meet.

this year if we go im staying somewhere in Windsor
