20 hour old news...:)

Ahh my bad. Only just got told...
i think its to do with keyloggers.
i dont think hotmail itself is compromised
Apart from getting junk mails ............ How do WE know our hotmail is the ones being hacked??.........:?
hotmail's are easily hacked anyway, i wouldn't use them if you paid me.

Really? Is the same true of Yahoo and Gmail.
This will probably be a list of mass phished (pharmed?) passwords that's been leaked. Not a new concept and its easy to protect yourself against. You don't need to rely on programs to stop you being phished like viruses - you just need to know what to look for and never login on a suspected rouge website!

Also, having the most unobvious password in the world won't protect you against phishing. That'll only protect you against an attacker who is trying to guess your password. With phishing.. you just hand it right over, totally unaware you're logging into a rouge website disguised as a genuine hotmail/gmail/bank login page!
Gmail all the way. Its 100% more professional for starters.
Between me and my kids we have about 8 hotmail accounts, every single one of them has been hacked at some time or other but i guess thats the internet, we just make sure all the passwords are random now and change them every week or so :?

Wow had mine over 10yrs and its never been hacked.
11 years here, never been hacked !
hmm no Sent emails. should i go to that to see if mine is there??
but received a lot of these sort of emails apparently from my friends.
Hotmail is always being hacked, ebay users have their accounts hijacked all the time from using hotmail accounts.
