Hi, i have a hotpoint washer/dryer its 3 years old and it has given me nothing but trouble.
in the first year i had it i had 4 call outs to get it fixed with various issues. at one point they gave me a new machine.
after the one year manufacturers warranty i was offered an extended warrenty i took it thinking i would probably get more problems, i was right..
in the last 18 months i have had 13 call outs, the next one arrives tommorow. each time the guy 'fixes' it. its not the same fault each time i think of the last 13 faults 6 of them have been different.
i have asked them to write it off as it seems to me the machine is cursed, if its 'beyond repair' then they give me a new machine but each time they just replace a part and go.
hotpoint customer service dont want to know already phoned them, im afraid i have no idea who i bought it off cos it was on the net and i cant find the receipt.
does anyone know of anything i can do to ge them to kill this machine off and give me a new one,
oh and each time it faults its at least 10 days untill i get an engineer out ,so i spend more time without a machine than with one,
i really hope one of you is a hotpoint engineer that can tell me what makes a machine beyond repair!
